Marcello Libra è nato nel 1959 a Vercelli, dove vive tuttora. Ha lavorato dal 2002 al 2009 per la White Star Edizioni come Photo Editor e inviato speciale. La sua specializzazione è la fotografia naturalistica e ha realizzato servizi in Europa, Africa, Asia, America ed Antartico. Preferisce fotografare il comportamento animale ma non trascura la fotografia paesaggistica. Negli ultimi anni ha scoperto la fotografia aerea. E' collaboratore fisso della rivista Oasis.
Le foto di Marcello Libra, sono state pubblicate su numerose riviste nazionali ed estere - Oasis, Asferico, Piemonte Parchi, Natur Foto (Germania), Animan (svizzera), Le Figaro (Francia), Naturae magazine - ed utilizzate per copertine e calendari.
Egli ha pubblicato nove libri e con le sue foto ha contribuito alla realizzazione di molti altri con le case editrici White Star, National Geographic, Pubblinova Edizioni Negri e Input Edizioni.
Marcello ha ricevuto numerosi premi Nazionali ed Internazionali, e le sue foto sono state esposte nelle seguenti mostre e manifestazioni:

Marcello Libra was born in 1959 in Vercelli, Italy, where he still lives. He worked from 2002 until 2009 as a photo editor and special envoy for White Star s.p.a. He is specialized in wildlife photography and he has made reportages in Europe, Africa, Asia, America and Antarctic. He cultivates a passion for animal behaviour photography, not neglecting landscape. He later discovered a new passion: aerial photography. He collaborates with the Oasis magazine (Italy) and with Naturae magazine (an online magazine).
Marcello Libra's photos have been published in numerous magazines - Oasis, Asferico, Piemonte Parchi, Natur Foto (Germany), Animan (Swiss), Le Figaro (France) Naturae magazine - and his photos have been chosen for covers and calendars.
He has published nine books and he has contributed with his pictures to many other books published by : White Star, National Geographic, Pubblinova Edizioni Negri and Input publisher.
He has received numerous national and international photography awards and mentions, and his works have been shown in the following exhibitions and events:
