Gabriela Staebler
Gabriela Staebler è nata
in Germania nel 1952. Dal 1989 lavora come fotografa free-lance ed è
una delle migliori interpreti della fotografia di flora e fauna africana
dell’attuale panorama fotografico mondiale. I suoi lavori vengono
commissionati per riviste, libri e calendari sia in Germania che in altri
paesi. Alcune sue opere sono anche state pubblicate sulla prestigiosa
rivista “National Geographic”. I suoi lavori sono divulgati
tramite mostre, diaproiezioni e conferenze. Partecipa a programmi televisivi
e radiofonici e organizza workshop di fotografia naturalistica nel Serengeti
in Tanzania. Durante l’anno trascorre lunghi periodi nelle riserve
e nei parchi nazionali africani spostandosi in fuoristrada e dormendo
in tenda. Le sue foto sono state premiate nei più importanti concorsi
internazionali, fra cui:
BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year; GDT European Photographer of the
Year; Nature’s Best International Photography Awards negli USA.
Ha pubblicato una serie di libri intitolata “Wild Kinder”
con monografie sui cuccioli di: ghepardo, elefante della savana, leone,
zebra e leopardo.
Il Suo ultimo libro si intitola “Zuruck Nack African”, (Ritornare
in Africa) è molto bello, ogni pagina è una nuova emozione.

Born in the Allgäu region
of Germany in 1952, Gabriela Staebler is today one of the most acclaimed
photo interpreters of the African wilderness in the world. She acquired
her expertise in wildlife photography on her own and has been working
since 1989 as a freelance photographer and author for magazine-, book-
and calendar publisher in Germany and abroad, as well as for several photography-
libraries. She also had publication in the famous National Geographic
Magazine. She presents her work in exhibitions, slide-shows, lectures,
TV and radio broadcasts and she offers workshops on wildlife-photography
